Petzl I'D L self-braking descender rescue with anti-panic function
The descender for rescue maneuvers Petzl I'D L is self-braking with an anti-panic function, aimed at rescue technicians and designed to provide you with a comfortable, safe, and quick progression.
With I'D L you have the option to descend in two ways, on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove. You can also make short ascents on the rope or secure a lead climber, utilizing the cam.
I'D L accepts ropes with a diameter range between 12.5 and 13 mm and allows you to move loads up to 280 kg. For significant loads, you can add an additional brake to the descender to better control the descent.
The device connects directly to the harness via the opening latch positioned on the movable flange. To insert the rope, simply open the movable flange facing the operator while keeping the device always attached to the harness.
I'D L features an ergonomic handle that allows you to maintain a wide control of the descent, an integrated anti-panic function that activates when you pull the handle too hard for any reason, automatically stopping and locking the descent; and an anti-error rope lock.
These technical features reduce the risks of a possible accident in case of incorrect use.
Petzl has designed an Auto-lock system that allows you to easily position yourself at the work site without having to practice the stop key and use the handle.
When you release the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the descender. The automatic return of the handle reduces the risks of unintentional hooking.
