Petzl I'D S self-braking descender for work at height with anti-panic function
The descender for work at height Petzl I'D S is versatile and designed to provide you with a comfortable, safe, and quick progression.
With I'D S, you have the ability to descend as well as make short ascents on rope or secure a lead climber, utilizing the cam.
I'D S accepts ropes with a diameter range from 10 to 11.5 mm and allows you to move loads up to 250 kg. For significant loads, you can also add an additional brake to the descender to better control the descent.
You connect the device directly to the harness via the opening latch located on the movable flange. To insert the rope, simply open the movable flange facing the operator.
In the friction zone, there is a stainless steel reinforcement that increases wear resistance.
I'D S features an ergonomic handle that allows you to maintain a wide control of the descent, an integrated anti-panic function that activates when you release the handle for any reason, and an anti-error rope lock.
These three technical features reduce the risks of a possible accident in case of error.
Petzl has designed an Auto-lock system that allows you to easily position yourself at the work site without having to practice the stop key and use the handle.
When the user releases the handle, the rope automatically locks.
