Petzl Neox assisted braking belay device
Take your belay game to the next level. Neox, the 2024 new product from Petzl, is an assisted braking belay device for the gym and crag.
Optimized for lead climbing, it allows the rope to run smoothly thanks to the wheel incorporated in the device, making it even easier and faster to give slack to the climber.
The Neox replicates the classic belay comfort of Petzl, which, in the event of a fall or during the climber's resting phase, puts tension on the rope, locking the wheel. At this point, the cam activates, tightening and locking the rope.
It is easy to use: the simplicity of rope installation, thanks to the markings engraved on the belay device - a technique common to all Petzl belay devices - is based on guiding the rope into the device and maintaining a permanent hand on the braking side of the rope.
The assisted braking with cam ensures a high tolerance of the hand position on the braking side, regardless of the angle between the climber's rope and the braking side rope.
Compatible with all dynamic single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for ropes with a diameter between 8.9 and 10.5 mm.
With Neox, descent control is ensured by the ergonomic handle, which offers a comfortable grip and facilitates the release of the rope.
Don't forget the 3:1 gear ratio of the handle for better control of rope movement with smaller diameters and less effort on the handle for larger rope diameters.
And to top it all off, eco-design: all plastic elements, including the handle, are made from recycled polyamide.
