SCARPA Ribelle Lite HD trekking and mountaineering boots

SCARPA Ribelle Lite HD is a technical boot designed for mountaineering, trekking, excursions on via ferrata, and demanding backpacking even with heavy loads!

The upper is made of a water-repellent technical fabric, and the collar that wraps around the ankle is made of an elastic fabric that ensures high comfort, while the lining is waterproof. The system with which the upper is constructed is called Sock-Fit XT because the sensation you will have wearing these shoes will be the same as when a sock wraps your foot. At SCARPA, they use this solution to allow you to wear these boots for long periods without issues!

The outer part has a PU Tech protective edge to increase its durability, while the inner part and the toe are protected by a rubber coating. The combination of this upper with the sole designed for this model guarantees maximum precision, wrapping, and comfort.

In this case, we are talking about the new version of Ribelle Lite HD which features, in addition to some small aesthetic changes, a technical improvement. The protective part of the toe cap is now a single rubber band that extends to the tensioning: this is to prevent possible delamination incidents.

The sole is designed by SCARPA and developed in collaboration with Vibram, the results are: compact volume, precise fit, speed, lightness, and comfort. The tread is made of Vibram Mont compound, a certainty in terms of stability and durability. It is also compatible with semi-automatic crampons.

To further enhance the performance of this boot, there is a footbed made of polypropylene and fiberglass, anatomical and structural, with differentiated thicknesses, lightweight, and with different anti-torsion rigidity, for maximum stability and comfort.

The lacing system is also well thought out and indeed uses the “Speed Lacing” system with bi-component hardware: the eyelets are made of plastic, while the lace lock and adjustment hooks are made of steel and plastic. The lacing extends to the toe and is differentiated into two parts. The lower part, with lace passers, allows for quick lace movement and adjustment of fit volumes in a single motion. The upper part, on the other hand, has a lace lock that divides the tension zones of the lacing and hooks for a homogeneous and progressive wrapping of the ankle, to achieve a comfortable fit without constriction.
