The Cric by Skylotec is a multifunctional blocker with an integrated pulley, designed for mountaineering, rescue, and rope work, distinguished as one of the most robust, functional, and intuitive tools in its category. This extremely versatile device can be used in four different modes: as a ascender, simple pulley, blocking system with pulley, or recovery pulley, offering versatility that minimizes time, material, and space during more complex maneuvers. In compliance with EN 567 and EN 12841-B standards, the Cric allows for smooth ascent on rope, while the integrated pulley with ball bearings enables use as a simple pulley for lifting loads according to EN 12278 standards. Its intelligent design allows for lifting a person or creating hoists for the direct recovery of a load or self-rescue, for example in the event of a fall into a crevasse, without the need for additional connectors. In recovery pulley mode, the rope runs freely in one direction and locks in the opposite direction, with the possibility of lowering the load by acting on a specific cord connected to the cam. Installation is quick and secure thanks to an ergonomic opening with an intuitive button, easily operable even with gloves or in adverse environmental conditions. The steel cam features a special tooth design that ensures effective locking while preserving the integrity of the rope, while the two grooves for mud drainage ensure consistent performance even on frozen or dirty ropes.
