Versante Sud Walking trekking guide offers 116 walking routes in Primiero and on the Pale di San Martino with the aim of encouraging the use and exploration of these mountainous areas that have a long mountaineering tradition. The proposed itineraries aim to highlight the historical and natural beauty of the places.

The guide offers routes suitable for everyone, from novice hikers to experienced mountaineers. The Primiero area is dominated by the Pale di San Martino, the largest mountain group in the Dolomites, and this publication proposes a wide range of itineraries that range from simple walks to challenging mountaineering tours. But while the Pale di San Martino constitute the heart of the content, the proposed excursions do not only develop on the Pale; the itineraries include some of the most interesting walking routes throughout the mountainous territory of Primiero, encompassing the porphyritic environment of the Lagorai of the Vanoi Valley, in San Martino di Castrozza, Passo Rolle, Passo Valles, and Val Canali, reaching up to the Vette Feltrine and the Cimonega Group.
