Versante Sud Dolomiti Sentieri Dedicati is a trekking guide that includes 45 of the best hikes throughout the Dolomite range, from the Brenta Dolomites to the Carnic Ridge, dedicated to the great pioneers and climbers who have made the history of these places!

With this guide, the authors want to give you the opportunity to retrace and relive history through 45 itineraries, considered among the most interesting from a hiking perspective and the most significant for their historical and symbolic value. Most of them are trails accessible to everyone, but there are also equipped trails, via ferratas, and a couple of routes that require experience and climbing skills.

There are trails dedicated to pioneers or great climbers, others dedicated to prominent figures in fields unrelated to the mountains, but who have loved the mountains. Others still are dedicated to cultural personalities with mountain roots or even artists who have left their mark. Numerous are the “Alpini” or “Kaiserjäger” trails, created by Italian and Austrian soldiers under extremely harsh environmental conditions on the front line during the Great War. There are also many trails that recall the mountain activities of the past: from miners to mountain dwellers who collected and traded snow and ice.
