Versante Sud Verona Rock climbing gardens is a climbing guide in German for the cliffs dedicated to sport climbing between Lake Garda, Monte Baldo, the Adige Valley, Valpollicella, Valpantena, and Lessinia.
Verona Rock Cliffs is born from the previous edition of Monte Baldo Rock. With the desire to succeed in what the previous authors had attempted in vain, Giovanni Avesani, Massimo Bursi, Fabio De Marchi, Claudio Migliorini, Diego Perotti, Giuseppe Vidali, and Nicola Zorzi have benefited from the active and participatory contribution of many bolters and climbers from Verona, a synergy that ultimately led to the creation of the first guide that includes the entire province of Verona.
Verona Rock Cliffs is a complete and clear description of all the most frequented cliffs, such as the historic Ceredo and Sengio Rosso, but also includes the more recent or lesser-known spots, known only by local climbers. Stunning natural landscapes, such as the Adige canyon or the Lessini Mountains near the Piccole Dolomiti, provide a backdrop to varied rock walls, ranging from slab climbs to overhangs.
The best time to climb here is during the mid-season, although the high number of cliffs with many different exposures allows for climbing all year round.
