The Lisbon Climbing Guidebook: Sport & Trad by Rui Rosado, in its English edition, extensively covers the climbing areas located in the Lisbon region, a territory that hosts about a third of all the routes in Portugal, divided into two main geographical sectors. North of Lisbon, the exploration moves through very different environments, from the almost fairytale granite of Sintra, where climbing takes place in a magical atmosphere at the Penedo da Amizade crag beneath the walls of the Moorish Castle, to the iconic ocean cliffs of Cabo da Roca and the walls of Casal de Pianos, where one faces the sun and the wind.
