Description
The Wild Country Friend is a double-axle cam, the new generation of the iconic tool essential for trad climbing, mountaineering, and crack protection. This advanced equipment ensures maximum holding capacity thanks to the cam angle of 13.75° and the machined and polished lobes, which provide superior grip of 8-10% compared to anodized surfaces, and reduce the risk of jamming. The distinctive feature is the combined design of the Thumbloop and extendable Magic Cord (up to 20 cm), a seamless nylon and polyethylene cord that eliminates the need for additional quickdraws, reduces rope friction, and minimizes the "walking" effect of the Friend. The hollow double-axle design reduces weight and maximizes extension. Reliability is guaranteed by a red wear indicator integrated into the webbing and a certified lifespan of 14 years (resistant to UV, humidity, and freeze/thaw).
