PIEPS Powder BT is an ARVA, an avalanche search device to take with you for mountaineering and ski mountaineering outings when the danger, unfortunately, is always there.
This device is very simple to use and works both in search and transmission with a maximum battery life of up to 300 h in transmission mode.
Here are the main features of this device, just like Pieps tells us:
- Complete autotest: Verification of all relevant hardware and software elements and display of the current software version.
- Display readable very well in all light conditions.
- Auto Antenna Switch: if the transmitting antenna has a disturbed signal, the transmission automatically switches to the second antenna (three in total).
- Auto Search To Send: if the device does not detect any movement for a minute, it automatically switches from search mode to transmission mode.
- iProbe Support: The PIEPS Powder BT can be temporarily deactivated by the intelligent iProbe probe. The first strongest signal available is automatically shown on the ARTVA receiver.
- Group control: Checking the activity and frequency of the device required. PIEPS recommends that an ARTVA be checked before each excursion.
