The upper is in fact made of PET spun with knit technology, without production waste thanks to the most advanced technologies in the treatment of biodegradable materials. The same goes for the Presa outsole made with a biodegradable medium density EVA midsole and a biodegradable compound and natural rubber tread. In this way you will have maximum stability and excellent grip and durability. The lacing is the classic Extended Lacing system extended to the tip, derived from climbing, which allows you maximum customization and comfort of fit.
Thanks to these choices and the technologies used, SCARPA is able to ensure that no traces of plastic remain in the environment at the end of the decomposition process.
