CAMP Druid Pro descender work at height
CAMP Safety Druid Pro is a self-locking descender designed for semi-static ropes with a diameter between 10 and 11 mm, intended for experienced users or work on inclined surfaces.
The device is lightweight and compact, with a body and lever made of forged aluminum alloy and mechanical parts in micro-cast stainless steel.
Unlike the CAMP Druid (click here to view the product), the Druid Pro does not have an anti-panic locking function, but the cam is made of a sliding surface that allows for progressive friction.
In case of a fall or blockage, the stresses on the safety chain, anchors, rope, and operator are lower and reduced by 40% compared to traditional systems.
Druid Pro is certified both as a descender and as a belayer, and it has obtained numerous certifications:
- EN 12841/C as a work descender for persons up to 120 kg, usable in rescue maneuvers up to 200 kg;
- EN 341/2A as an emergency descender on a single rope, for persons up to 120 kg and a semi-static rope of 11 mm;
- EN 15151-1 for use in progression from the bottom with alpine technique through dynamic ropes from 9.9 to 11 mm.
Druid Pro is also effective in ascent thanks to the easy sliding and recovery of the rope.
