The San Vito lo Capo area, in northwestern Sicily, is one of the best European destinations for climbing in the colder season! Many routes are accessible on foot from the campsite, and Monte Monaco even offers multi-pitch climbs up to 400 m in length.
The temperate climate, proximity to the sea, budget flights, the infrastructure of San Vito (beach, supermarkets, restaurants, hotels...) and the well-protected and truly excellent routes (even in moderate grades) make this area a real top spot for European climbing.
