The Grivel Air Tech Light Standard is a high-performance and lightweight ice axe designed for classic mountaineering, ski mountaineering, glacier hiking, and technical climbing. This essential version without additional accessories is balanced to offer lightness, durability, and controlled handling on various alpine terrains. The monobloc head made of forged steel with a fixed blade and shovel ensures reliable strikes and secure penetration on hard snow and ice. The G-Bone aluminum handle provides excellent strength and rigidity while maintaining a reduced profile thanks to its special grooved construction, which increases structural integrity and reduces material weight without compromising performance at altitude. The lower part is completed with a durable steel tip that facilitates anchoring and stability during progression. Certified according to CE EN 13089 type 1 and UIAA 152 safety standards, this classic tool is available in four lengths to perfectly fit every height: the 48 cm size weighs 320 grams, the 53 cm version weighs 335 grams, the 58 cm variant weighs 345 grams, and the 66 cm size tips the scales at 375 grams.
