Grivel K7G Lambda Twin Gate climbing carabiner is revolutionary and designed for belaying and rappelling maneuvers with single or double ropes.
K7G Lambda has a pear shape, with a wide opening ideal for fitting in the half-hitch and similar knots. Made with the same metal used for ice axe handles, hot forged, in 7000 aluminum, it ensures excellent strength, durability, and lightness.
The Twin Gate closure system designed by the French company to offer climbers new safety standards and awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro for design applied to safety, is based on two levers, one curved key-lock and one straight, that open in opposite directions on the same side of the carabiner.
Twin Gate is one of the safest closure systems in the world; it cannot be opened without applying two opposing forces on the two levers, and there is no risk of the rope or other devices slipping out. This technology ensures, among other things, quick and comfortable use compared to carabiners with screw or automatic closures.
