Kong Back-Up + 412.ZZ 802.100 fall protection device for work at height
The fall protection blocking device Kong Back-Up + 412.ZZ 802.100 version 8021 is designed for use on metal structures, rope work, confined spaces, arboriculture, sailing boats, roofs, and sloped surfaces.
Unlike version 8020, the new Back-Up is certified both CE and ANSI. You have two certifications in one item, allowing you to expand its use by connecting the device to CE connectors and ANSI positioning connectors and lanyards based on the intended use.
The operation remains the same: Back-Up follows the operator at height, during ascent, descent, and position changes, and stops any potential falls by automatically locking.
A special button allows you to position yourself on the anchorage line, locking in one direction and sliding freely in the opposite direction.
The non-toothed cam protects the rope from trauma and allows the device to respond to even significant stresses in a semi-dynamic manner.
Back-Up comes supplied with a double-action steel Ovalone Carbon Twist Lock carabiner. It works with ropes from 10 to 12 mm in diameter.
This new version is no longer suitable for mountaineering use with the removal of the EN 567:97 certification, while the EN 12841/B:06 certification has been updated with the increase of the user weight from 100 to 120 kg.
Additionally, the EAC marking has been added for sale in Russia.
