La Sportiva Trango Tower GTX is a Gore-Tex boot ideal for mountaineering, trekking, and via ferrata.

The upper is made with a fabric that has reinforced areas in the spots most prone to abrasion. These innovative reinforcements are constructed with a mono-filament thread forming many small hexagons, which is why this technology is called Honey-Comb Guard.

An important feature of Trango Tower is the sole, strictly Vibram and custom-made, La Sportiva Cube. This, to reduce the overall weight of the boot, boasts lightweight thicknesses.

Despite this, however, performance does not decrease. In addition to this diversified sole depending on the various support zones of the foot, at the heel, we find a shock absorber called Impact Brake System. This system, also adopted in Trail Running shoes, softens the step by absorbing the impact. How? Some of the lugs present in the sole come into contact with the ground first to soften the landing of the entire sole.

At ankle height, we find an elasticized upper to keep the ankle as free as possible.

What can I use Trango Tower GTX for? Definitely for trekking, a shoe with a comfortable fit that can be worn for several hours. I can also use them for mountaineering thanks to the crampon-compatible heel and finally, they are also great for via ferrata, with a comfortable and excellent climbing zone at the toe.

Let’s not forget, however, that this model has an upper covered with a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane that prevents water from entering while allowing excess moisture and heat to escape. Great for all four seasons.
