The 6.0 Cord by Mammut is an extremely robust and multifunctional accessory cord, designed as an essential element in the kit of every mountaineer and climber. Made entirely of high-quality polyamide, this durable cord stands out for its low elasticity, a characteristic that makes it perfect for creating blocking knots such as the prusik or for anchoring wall protection. The structure is designed to ensure superior tying ease while maintaining high strength with a breaking load of 7.50 kN when new and without signs of wear. A distinctive technical detail is the six-strand pattern on the sheath, which allows for immediate identification of the 6.0 mm diameter even in the field. Weighing only 22 g/m and with a sheath percentage of 59%, this component ensures excellent durability over time and effective protection against the abrasions typical of alpine terrain. Certified according to CE EN 564 and UIAA standards, and approved as a Bluesign® product for its reduced environmental impact, the 6.0 cord represents a reliable and versatile personal protective device, ideal for a wide range of applications in high mountain adventures.
