The diameter of 9.8 mm is a guarantee of safety: the rope is super durable and runs smoothly in any belay device on the market. The good percentage of sheath also makes the Storm the first choice when you are climbing on top rope to try the hard moves of the route, and it helps when you are climbing on particularly abrasive rock or in the presence of sharp edges that can be potentially harmful.
The weight is low compared to the diameter, which makes the Storm an easily transportable rope even in the 80-meter version.
The Storm has a low dynamic elongation, another feature that makes it safe when you are on the first meters of the route and very comfortable when you are seconding.
