Description
The Shovel Pro Light by Ortovox is an avalanche shovel. Designed for ski mountaineers who count every gram, this shovel is a masterpiece of engineering that combines extreme lightness (only 440 g) with uncompromising functionality and torsional rigidity. Made using innovative materials, it employs robust 7075 T6 aluminum for the handle and tempered and anodized 6061 T6 aluminum for the blade. The telescopic handle with a quick-release mechanism is intuitive, easy to adjust (total length 76 cm, reduced to 42 cm), and, thanks to the practical T-grip, is perfect for both right-handed and left-handed users. The 2.1-liter blade is not afraid of hard snow: the sharp, angled blade ensures optimal penetration, while the high sidewalls and pronounced central rib provide maximum rigidity. Smart details such as the anti-slip structure for the feet on the blade and the grooves for building an emergency sled make this shovel (certified UIAA 156) the ideal tool for those who demand maximum performance and minimum weight.
