Petzl Verso belay device descender multipurpose bucket climbing
Petzl Verso is the renewed 2019 version of the famous bucket belay device from Petzl.
The main changes are the grooves where the rope passes, which have been made more rounded to reduce wear, and also the range of diameters it can accommodate.
To address the use of increasingly thinner ropes, the new Verso accepts single ropes of 8.5 mm and twin ropes of 6.9.
The usage remains unchanged; it can be used for belaying using the classic technique with two hands on the rope, and it allows for double rope descents.
The mode of use is facilitated by the engravings present on the device.
