The Raumer Inox anchor consists of two Rock plates with a 10 mm hole, one chain, and two stainless steel connecting rings with an internal diameter of 32 mm. The second ring, the lower one, is perpendicular to the rock, ensuring a perfect descent from both ends of the rope. Naturally, the rope must be threaded through the ring with a maneuver to ensure proper functioning; however, once inside, there is no danger of the rope accidentally slipping out. The price of the anchor is very affordable, thanks to the absence of a carabiner. What we present to you is a renewed version that replaces AISI 304 stainless steel with AISI 316L. This improvement makes the anchor group much more resistant to marine corrosion.
WARNING: This anchor is made of AISI 316L steel but is also available in the Marine version, which is even more resistant to corrosion caused by agents present near marine environments. Raumer performs a three-phase treatment for marine stainless steel: Solubilization - Pickling - Passivation. The icon of a stylized fish with the word INOX inside distinguishes the marine line from its normal version. Below you will find information about the technology used for this type of product.
Raumer is a company based in Schio, in the province of Vicenza, specialized in the production of hardware for various sports: climbing, mountaineering, canyoning, caving. The company was founded in 1992 by an idea of Cesare Raumer, the owner. He combined his deep passion for mountains, nature, and caving with mechanical technology. The strength of the company has always been the use of AISI 304 stainless steel in the production of anchors. Currently, following continuous experiences and acquired knowledge, AISI 316L stainless steel is used, which is even more resistant to abrasion. Raumer is therefore synonymous with quality, safety, and above all MADE IN ITALY: the entire production takes place in the Vicenza plant.
