Description
The Salewa Ortles HMS C.3 M is a high-quality HMS carabiner designed for climbing and mountaineering, made from 7075 T6 aluminum, which perfectly balances lightness and strength. The C.3 Pull-and-Lock closure system allows for two locking modes, standard and Safelock, to ensure greater safety based on needs. The carabiner features a visual closure indicator that makes it easy to check if it has been properly locked. Its wide opening facilitates the handling of knots and quickdraws, while the Keylock nose prevents snagging on ropes or quickdraws. Additionally, its large contact surface ensures a smooth and secure passage of the rope. Weighing 83 g and measuring 110 x 76 mm, the carabiner has a longitudinal breaking strength of 23 kN, a lateral strength of 9 kN, and an open gate strength of 8 kN. It is certified according to EN 12275 and UIAA 121 standards, and is produced in Italy.
