SCARPA Alien 1.0 competition ski mountaineering boot
SCARPA Alien 1.0 is a competition ski mountaineering boot, designed for a performance-oriented expert ski mountaineer. Thanks to its versatility, it can be used for both vertical races and long training sessions in the mountains. Extremely high performance is guaranteed by the construction material made of Carbon Fiber.
The Carbon Grilamid LFT® is a polyamide loaded with long carbon fibers that enhance the stretch resistance and rigidity of Grilamid®, without increasing its weight. This allows for a reduction in the wall thickness of the shell, resulting in a lightweight product with compact volumes, while still being very high-performing. Impact resistance and stress resistance also improve, allowing the boots' performance to remain intact over time.
The lacing system consists of the A-light lever made of lightweight and durable alloy, a Dyneema® cord, two loops, and two metal hooks. The system allows, with a single movement, to release or lock the cuff from the shell, enabling the front opening or closing of the cuff itself. The attachment point of the lever on the shell prevents the accumulation of snow and ice.
