SCARPA Ribelle Tech 3 HD mountaineering boots
SCARPA Ribelle Tech 3 HD is a lightweight and extremely snug mountaineering boot. This boot, renewed compared to the previous version, has indeed been designed for faster and even more technical mountaineering.
Studied down to the smallest detail, as soon as you put on the Ribelle Tech 3 HD, you will realize that you have a technical shoe on your foot that is also incredibly comfortable.
The outer upper is made of knit, a fabric that allows for different densities depending on the area in a single piece. This is why you find an integrated gaiter with the upper: elastic, comfortable, and seamless, preventing water and dirt from penetrating inside. It is also worth noting the presence of Polartec Windbloc yarns inside, which protects against all weather conditions while ensuring excellent breathability.
Thanks to the HDry system, Ribelle Tech is highly waterproof yet breathable. This type of membrane blocks water at its outermost layer, keeping your feet safe.
Moving on to the sole / midsole package, we find a very thin insole made of polypropylene and fiberglass with varying thicknesses. This provides the right comfort, the right rigidity, and the right stability to the fit, and it is also equipped with an Ortholite O-Therm insole that offers excellent thermal insulation.
The sole, on the other hand, is designed and patented by SCARPA. Precision Tech Roll is thin and lightweight but very precise, fast, and comfortable.
As for the tread? It could only be Vibram. Guaranteed grip with the Vibram Mont compound.
The lacing system, finally, very different from the previous version, in addition to being protected by a thin layer of PU, is derived from trail running. The laces slide easily and adjust in a single movement. At the ankle, there is a velcro strap that you can adjust to your liking, which supports during climbing and provides comfort while walking.
