Description
The Ice Hook by Skylotec is a specific Dyneema quickdraw for ice screws, designed to drastically increase speed and safety during ice climbing. This system allows the quickdraw to be incorporated directly onto the screw, making it ready for rope insertion after just a few turns of screwing, significantly simplifying maneuvers and ensuring the screw is secure during extraction. The set is equipped with the Fly-Weight Evo carabiner, a compact and ultralight connector with a beak shaped to minimize accidental snagging of the rope or gear loop. A key technical detail is the support ring of the webbing, which is free to slide along the body of the screw: this feature minimizes the lever effect that would occur in the event of a fall, improving the overall hold of the anchor. Suitable for all ice screws with a maximum thread diameter of 20 mm, the Ice Hook represents a cutting-edge solution for winter mountaineering and the most challenging ice waterfalls.
