This special padding combines layers of cross-linked recycled polyethylene foam for maximum stability with polyurethane layers to optimize comfort and control impact absorption. The thermally welded and seamless outer cover, made with high-frequency bonded panels, is designed to withstand repeated sessions on the most abrasive and rugged terrains. Unlike one-piece models, the Big Phatty features a mid-fold design that greatly simplifies transport and storage while ensuring a large landing area when fully opened to cover multiple starting zones or uneven surfaces.

Practicality during approaches is ensured by removable shoulder straps and a removable lumbar belt that allow for adjustable carrying comfort, while two Velcro closure straps keep the pad securely closed during transit. All straps use sturdy metal buckles to avoid the use of fragile plastic components. At the four corners, there are equally as many attachment grommets, ideal for anchoring the crash pad on steep terrain or securely connecting it to other pads.
