Description

Trango Vergo belay device for climbing with assisted braking. It is very smooth and allows for a natural and less traumatic way to give slack for the belayer's shoulders. Perfect for sport climbing at the crag!

Unlike almost all other assisted braking belay devices, the rope exits sideways, so the arm movement is to the left instead of upwards. The Vergo is very lightweight and easy to use: you insert the rope as shown in the diagrams on the cam, clip in the belay device, and you're ready to go.

During use, the Vergo encourages the braking hand to keep the index and thumb on the body of the belay device itself, while the three free fingers must always hold the rope. The descent is equally smooth. It accepts ropes with a diameter between 8.9 and 10.7 mm.
