Versante Sud Andonno e Cuneo climbing guidebook tells of one of Italy's great historic crags, lately always in the news thanks to the amazing feats of athletes such as Stefano Ghisolfi, who has opened routes of the highest level right here. The author is rock climber Severino Scassa, a climbing champion and great connoisseur of the area, where he has discovered some of the most interesting spots for our sport. Ghisolfi describes not only Andonno, but all the crags and bolted routes in the Gesso, Po, Tanaro and Stura valleys, as far as that part of France that is still orographically Italian: the Roja valley and then down towards the sea in Liguria with the Pennavaire valley and the limestone walls of Mongioie.
