Description
ANTIGRAVITY explores the question: Is there a force that defies gravity? With stunning photographs, this book illustrates the story of extraordinary moments where above and below lose their meaning and people challenge the limits of physical possibility. Over the course of five years, Swiss climber Dani Arnold, photographer Thomas Monsorno, climbing partner Martin Echser, and director Lukas Kusstatscher explored spectacular ice walls around the world. Their journeys took them from Lake Baikal in Russia to the volcanic landscape of Iceland, to Kazakhstan and the fjords of Spitsbergen. Monsorno's photographs show Arnold seemingly weightless, a play between man and nature. ANTIGRAVITY is more than just a photographic documentation of ice climbing: it is an inspiring tribute to the beauty and challenges of our planet.
