Arc'teryx Beta AR is a hard shell for men, a fully waterproof jacket with a Gore-Tex membrane. The shells of Arc'teryx are very famous and known precisely for their excellent quality and their indestructibility: an investment that you will carry on for many and many years.
This garment is part of the Beta line which includes all those garments designed specifically for mountain and mountaineering. The initials AR mean All Round and therefore versatile for many activities.
The fit is regular, with the pockets raised to be compatible with the harness and the longer rear bottom to protect the back from the wind.
The jacket bottom and cuffs are adjustable, as is the hood that is also compatible with the mountaineering helmet.
Coming instead to the main point, Beta AR is made with a super-resistant tear-resistant nylon to which three layers of Gore-Tex Pro have been applied, to guarantee absolute impermeability but at the same time also excellent breathability.
