ATK Crest 8 ski touring bindings
ATK Crest 8 is a binding for ski touring available with an integrated ski brake in various sizes to be compatible with all types of skis.
Crest 8 has the same features as its bigger brother Crest 10, designed for ski touring with excellent performance both downhill and uphill; however, it has slightly different DIN coefficients and is intended for lighter individuals or beginners.
The Monolink Technology 1.0 system makes one of the two arms of the front binding fixed, making it much safer and saving weight (the complete binding weighs only 280 g each!), while the Easy Entry System has improved the geometry to allow for easier and faster entry even for boots with worn soles.
To ensure the release system is safe, two additional technologies have been applied. The first, called Cam Release System, makes the release very precise to guarantee excellent descents. The second is called Elastic Response System and consists of an elastic system applied to the heel piece: this ensures that the ski maintains its natural flexibility.
To facilitate the ascent phase, Crest has a heel piece that can be adjusted to three different heights at your convenience.
Finally, there is an integrated adjustment plate in the rear binding to ensure compatibility with other boots without re-drilling the ski.
