The Backland 89 SL by Atomic is an all-round backcountry ski, ideal for moving with extreme lightness through the mountains and descending quickly. This equipment is lightweight (only 1220 g in size 176 cm) and efficient uphill, but also reliable, stable, and with great floatation downhill, perfect for those who want to summit many peaks. The construction is a mix of agility and power, with a poplar/carob core for lightness and a Carbon Backbone that adds stiffness. The All-Terrain profile uses wood and fiberglass in new proportions to optimize climbing and performance on hard snow descents. The HRZN 3D technology in the tip increases the surface area for superior floatation in fresh snow and maneuverability in variable conditions, supported by the All-Mountain Rocker profile 15/85/0 (early rise in the tip). The Directional Shape with minimal tail rocker and Dura Cap Sidewall ensures maximum contact, edge grip, and durability. With a profile of 89 mm for great adaptability and studied edge angles (87° side, 1.0° base) for easy turns and aggressive trajectories, this ski is completed with a glossy top finish for a sleek look.
