Atomic N Backland 86 UL ski for ski mountaineering

Ideal for fast and light ski mountaineering, the ultralight Atomic Backland 86 UL uses the All-Terrain Profile to deliver lighter performance than any other Atomic ski in the 86 mm category at the center. Resulting from extensive testing and research, the new structure employs a unique ratio of wood and fiberglass for a lighter and more efficient ascent and better downhill performance. Built using Ultra Light Woodcore made of poplar and karuba, the ski features an ultralight carbon insert that runs the entire length to act as a stabilizing skeleton, creating the perfect balance between reduced weight and optimal power. Perfect for fresh snow, groomed runs, and everything in between, the lightweight HRZN 3D tip uses a thin, perforated material to increase surface area and improve floatation in deeper snow conditions, creating a perfectly balanced ski. The All Mountain Rocker provides early rise in the tip for a ski profile suitable for both groomed and off-piste. A notch carved into the tip allows compatibility with Atomic PreFit skins.
