BD Black Diamond Capitan MIPS climbing and mountaineering helmet
BD Black Diamond Mips Capitan is a climbing and mountaineering helmet characterized by additional coverage on the sides and back and MIPS technology. It maintains a sleek and cradle fit for all-day comfort. The addition of MIPS technology (Multidirectional Impact Protection System). The MIPS system is designed to protect against rotational movement (or kinematics) transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head. This additional protection system has been shown to reduce rotational violence on the brain by absorbing and redirecting oblique impacts on the helmet. With a two-piece ABS shell, a fusion of EPP foam, and an EPS foam disc, the Capitan meets the side and rear protection requirements proposed by the UIAA, while the vents ensure ample breathability when temperatures rise. A low-profile suspension system adjusts the fit, while integrated clips for headlamps with an elastic at the back secure your headlamp so you can face the night.
