BD Black Diamond Distance 22 is an ideal backpack for trekking and trail running with a hybrid design perfect for alpine adventures across a wide range of mountain terrains!
This hybrid backpack combines the technology of running vests with mountaineering backpacks, allowing you to carry the gear you need while remaining as light as a feather and comfortable enough to move quickly. Built with 10x UHMWP Ripstop yarns, the Distance fabric is 10 times stronger than steel of the same weight, yet remains light enough to float on water.
The shoulder strap system features Stitch-less Edge Taping technology, which means edges and seams are fully taped instead of sewn, allowing for greater comfort, movement, and weight reduction. There is also an adjustable side compression system with elastic cord, which provides you with better fit and stability while running and climbing.
This vest-like system also includes two pockets for water bottles and one for an emergency shell. The main compartment has a quick opening and a hidden pocket for storing essentials, while a mesh divider allows for better load organization. On the outside, there are both ice axe holders and pole holders, essential for when the going gets technical.
