Description
The Viper Adze Ice Tool from Black Diamond is an ultra-versatile mountaineering ice axe, designed to excel on steep couloirs, ice routes, and mixed winter ascents. Its curved and lightweight handle, made from a single piece of aluminum through hydroforming, offers optimal balance between stiffness, strength, and reduced weight (605 g). Exceptional versatility is ensured by the adjustable upper FlickLock® grip and the collapsible lower grip, which can be removed for clean penetration into the snow during piolet-canne use. Part of the I.C.E. (Interchangeable Component Equipment) system, the Viper offers complete modularity, allowing for interchangeable blades and accessories (comes with I.C.E. blade and alpine shovel) to adapt to any technical terrain. The handle and knobs are overmolded with a soft, high-grip material for superior control and comfort in all conditions.
