Men's raincover jackets, unlike Hard Shell, are lighter and more suitable for aerobic activities. They are in fact very light and compressible, so much so that they are able to easily put even inside a small backpack or baby carrier. They are not in Gore-Tex but have a waterproof breathable membrane that protects you from the rain.
