Climbing Technology Be Up is a multi-purpose belay/rappel device for climbing and mountaineering with an innovative and compact design, suitable for use with half, twin and full ropes, in mountaineering, multi-pitch sport and trad climbing. Intuitive and easy to use, it is equipped with a modular braking system to optimise braking with any type of rope and allows independent and self-blocking recovery of seconds.
It is an extremely multipurpose device that allows the effective belaying of the lead climber, in fact it is possible to give rope smoothly, quickly and without hindrance; during the belaying of the lead climber on multi-pitch routes with two ropes, the Be Up allows you to give one rope while the other is blocked, and this manoeuvre makes the BE UP unique the braking of the ropes by means of the 'V' shaped grooves is effective and modular, they are in fact specially designed for better braking control during the arrest of a flight, double rope and one or two second self-blocking recovery. The special geometry of the device and the attachment ring integrated into the body allow one second to be retrieved while the other is hanging from the tool; the unblocking and progressive abseiling of a second under tension, even in a vacuum, without effort, which is done by inserting a simple hms karabiner into the unblocking hole; the quick switch from guide mode to belaying the first, in alternating pitch climbs; the abseiling while keeping the ropes separated. V-shaped grooves allow effective control of the descent speed, without twisting the ropes.
