Index Ascender è una Jumar molto confortevole grazie all'impugnatura ergonomica a doppia densità e la utilizzi comodamente a una o due mani, con o senza guanti.
Il due fori inferiori consentono l'utilizzo di due moschettoni (uno per la longe e uno per il pedale).
La leva integrata nel corpo evita gli agganci involontari, il fermacorda è dentellato e ha una scanalatura che elimina le impurità e mantiene il bloccante in funzione anche se la corda è bagnata, sporca o ghiacciata.
