The Guide 34+6 by Deuter is an extremely robust and versatile men's climbing backpack, ideal for climbing, classic mountaineering, ski mountaineering, and high-altitude snowshoeing excursions. This high-performance model stands out for its Alpine back system, which ensures a compact fit that perfectly adheres to the body, allowing for ideal balance and controlled movements even on the most difficult and exposed terrains. The internal structure integrates a removable ergonomic PE back panel, paired with a lightweight Omega steel frame that keeps the backpack's profile stable and offers exceptional stability by optimally distributing the weight. The breathable ActiveFit shoulder straps, ergonomic and padded, work in perfect combination with the stabilization and load adjustment straps and the VariFlex hip belt equipped with Pull-Forward adjustment, which faithfully follows the movements of the hips and can be completely removed to avoid hindrance when wearing a climbing harness. Weighing 1210 g, with dimensions of 66 / 29 / 24 cm and a recommended load capacity between 6 and 12 kg, the backpack offers a base volume of 34 liters, extendable by an additional 6 liters thanks to the height-adjustable and removable top. Access to the load is extremely functional: in addition to the top opening with a drawstring closure and top lid, there is a practical J-shaped front opening with a zipper for quick access to equipment. The technical organization is meticulously designed for mountain professionals and includes an ice axe holder on both sides, a side ski holder, a dedicated rope strap, a removable mesh helmet holder, external side compression straps, and a hip belt equipped with a gear loop, an ice screw holder, and a zippered pocket. Additional features include an external compartment on the top, an internal compartment for wet clothing, a glasses holder, a key clip, an adjustable sternum strap with one-handed operation complete with a safety whistle and SOS label, as well as compatibility with a hydration bladder up to 3 liters. The main fabric is made from a highly durable 100% recycled ripstop polyamide and polyester (210D REC PA / REC PES R/SD) that resists wear and protects the contents from frequent contact with rock. The backpack is manufactured entirely without the use of PFAS substances thanks to the DWR water-repellent treatment and is certified by Bluesign, ClimatePartner, and Grüner Knopf, ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly production.
