Edelrid Eagle Lite Protect Eco Dry 9.5 mm climbing rope

Edelrid Eagle Lite Protect Eco Dry 9.5 mm is born from the proven construction of the EAGLE LITE and has been developed to offer a particularly robust rope, while remaining suitable for sport climbing and project work. To achieve this, Protect technology is used, which integrates high-strength aramid fibers into the sheath through a special braiding process. This technology, along with the adjustment of other production parameters, reinforces the sheath and increases the rope's cut resistance, even under load, for example on sharp edges.

To ensure a particularly compact and fine sheath structure, the Eagle Lite Protect Eco Dry is made on a 48-spindle braiding machine, with positive effects on handling and abrasion resistance. These features make it a reliable companion on challenging long routes and big walls, when used as a single rope and possibly paired with a tag line. The rope is also certified for use on sharp edges.

The Eco Dry treatment, free of PFC and PFAS, ensures long-lasting water repellency and dirt resistance; water absorption is less than 2%, a value significantly lower than that required by the UIAA Water Repellent Test. The Thermo Shield treatment contributes to pleasant handling, while the 3D lap coiling allows for immediate use without tangling.

This is a dynamic rope certified EN 892 and UIAA 101, of single type, with a center marking, impregnation, and PFC-free coating. The diameter is 9.5 mm, with a weight of 59 g/m, a stopping force of 8.5 kN, a dynamic elongation of 32%, and a capacity of 8 falls. The construction consists of a 62% core and a 38% sheath, and is made of polyamide and aramid.
