Edelrid Salathe Lite climbing and mountaineering helmet
Edelrid Salathe Lite is an ultra-light climbing and mountaineering helmet that provides you with all the protection and comfort you need during mountain climbs.
The 20% weight reduction compared to the iconic Edelrid Salathe was made possible by replacing the ABS shell with Curv, the latest generation of a high-performance thermoplastic material. It has properties similar to fiber-reinforced composites like carbon: good rigidity, high tensile strength, and exceptional impact resistance, all with a very low weight.
Thanks to its ergonomic shape, it fits snugly on the head without being bulky and ensures excellent protection from impacts on the sides as well as at the front and back of the head, tested according to the EN 12492 standard. The large ventilation openings ensure optimal air circulation, while the removable internal padding prevents pressure points and absorbs sweat. The strap adjustment system ensures a great fit and minimizes weight and size.
Headlamps of all types can be quickly and securely attached to the helmet with two clips at the front and an elastic strap at the back.
