Camp Corner è un chiodo da roccia in acciaio temprato, praticamente indeformabile e ideale per l'utilizzo su granito. La sua tenuta viene realizzata mediante l'incastro nella fenditura in cui viene infisso e la successiva torsione che esso crea in caso di sollecitazione. Corner ha forma angolare, a V e questo ti garantisce un'ottima resistenza all'estrazione dalla fessura. In definitiva, la sua resistenza dipende, oltre che dalle sue caratteristiche meccaniche, anche dalla resistenza allo sfaldamento della fessura. Così utilizzato costituisce un eccellente punto di ancoraggio alla roccia.
