The Fixe Pedraforca 8.8 mm is a climbing rope with triple certification (single, double, and twin). It is a model often chosen by alpine guides, used for alpine ascents, climbing on big walls, or tackling challenging sport climbing projects. Its Fusion construction provides enhanced safety on winding routes to overcome sharp rocks and ridges. With a diameter of less than 9 mm, this rope performs exceptionally well on all types of terrain, offering a unique feel and great durability.
Thanks to the Full Dry treatment, which is a water-repellent treatment on both the sheath and core, the rope becomes completely waterproof, resistant to oil, grease, and water, ensuring a long rope lifespan. It complies with the UIAA standard for water resistance.
The Endurance construction, a 36-strand weave, promotes smooth handling and extends the life of the rope. Additionally, the Fusion technology prevents sheath slippage, ensuring prolonged performance through a secure bond between the sheath and core.
For improved precision and safety, the Middle Mark is a valuable feature, indicating the rope's midpoint with a recognizable black mark. For added precision, the 8 Mark system uses a red mark, signaling that there are only 8 meters left before reaching the end of the rope. Reflectors, on the other hand, are reflective markers placed at both ends of the rope.
Lastly, the Ultrasonic Cut adds durability and reliability by hardening the rope's ends, protecting them from wear and tear.
