Description
The Patagonia Brimmer is a wide-brimmed hat designed to provide 40+ UPF sun protection and immediate shade during entire days spent outdoors, making it perfect for both hiking and river activities. The main body is made from a lightweight 100% recycled polyester stretch ripstop fabric, treated with a long-lasting water-repellent finish free of harmful chemicals, while the underside of the brim uses recycled NetPlus® nylon from fishing nets to combat ocean plastic pollution. One of the distinctive features of this model is the foam brim, which, combined with the ultra-lightweight structure, allows the hat to float in case it accidentally falls into the water. The fit is ensured by a medium crown design with a brim of about 7.6 centimeters and an adjustable chin cord that keeps the hat in place even in strong winds. Inside, a double-knit recycled polyester sweatband ensures optimal moisture and temperature management, keeping the skin dry. Weighing only 68 grams, the hat uses bluesign® certified materials and is produced in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility.
