The Rab Lightweight Hot Socks are extremely lightweight and compressible padded socks designed to provide superior warmth in extreme cold conditions during expeditions, alpine bivouacs, or for relaxing in huts. These ultra-warm resting socks are made with PrimaLoft Silver synthetic insulation, a material made from 100% recycled content that creates thousands of air pockets to retain heat while ensuring moisture resistance and great durability. The outer layer is made of lightweight 20-denier recycled fabric with a wrap-around construction that minimizes seams to limit thermal dispersion, while the robust 900-denier nylon sole ensures excellent abrasion resistance and further insulates the foot from contact with the icy ground. Weighing only 109 grams, these socks rise just above the ankle and feature a comfortable elastic cuff that seals warmth inside, making them the perfect solution for providing immediate relief to tired toes after a long day of activities in the mountains. The synthetic structure is not only warm and easily compressible, but it is also easy to wash and maintains thermal properties even when slightly damp.
