The San Vito lo Capo area in north-western Sicily is one of Europe's best climbing destinations in the colder season! Many routes are within walking distance from the campsite and Monte Monaco even offers multi-pitch climbs of up to 400 m in length.
The temperate climate, proximity to the sea, cheap flights, the infrastructure of San Vito (beach, supermarkets, restaurants, hotels...) and the well-protected and truly excellent routes (even in moderate grades) make this area a true top-spot of European climbing.
