Idea Montagna Galassi - Storia di un rifugio book: That the infatuation of the Mestre Section of the Italian Alpine Club for that Rifugio Galassi, located in the heart of the Eastern Dolomites, was not fleeting, was not long in being understood. Already starting from the summer of 1950, when its inauguration could be witnessed. The depth of such feelings would be further confirmed by the surprising characteristic subsequently assumed by the refuge itself, with members determined to become its personal custodians. Indeed, among them had spontaneously arisen the idea of voluntarily alternating, week after week, in its management. Repaid only by the extraordinary experiences of communal life and hospitality made possible there, at the foot of Mount Antelao. No one ever, afterwards, would regret it.
